UN Tourism Barometer/ Albania Best Destination in Europe 2023

The UN Tourism Barometer, known for its regular monitoring of short-term tourism trends and providing timely analysis to global tourism stakeholders, has named Albania as the leading destination in Europe for 2023.

Published quarterly, the Barometer offers insights into inbound tourism to destinations and outbound tourism from source markets. It features a Confidence Index derived from surveys conducted with the UN Tourism Panel of Tourism Experts, offering assessments of recent performance and short-term prospects in international tourism.

Prime Minister Edi Rama also responded to this recognition, expressing pride in Albania's picturesque landscapes, vibrant culture, and welcoming hospitality. In a statement shared on X platform, the PM highlighted Albania's diverse attractions, from adventurous mountain experiences to serene beach retreats and historic urban explorations, inviting visitors to create lasting memories in Albania.
